SATURDAY STYLE SPOTLIGHT – Nadja Full Brief

Often we overlook the basics but not today. 

Here is a fantastic basic full size panty. It is made in a smooth, soft lycra with a nice stretch for gentle control. 




The Nadja brief is a lovely generous cut with a wonderfully shaped leg opening. The inset lace gives this everyday basic an elegant touch.

As you will see by the photos, the sun was setting on my final garment from my fall beach cottage shoot. I am including them just the same…

Nadja is a full cut with a true waistline height. With high rise pants quickly coming back into vogue we will see more full cut lingerie following along. This back is smooth and undetailed, nothing to shadow through.



The back is absolutely plain with a thin elastic at the leg for full coverage and support but minimal VPLs.



If you look closely you will see the front seams are crescent moon shaped. I rarely see this style of design lines but they are very flattering.

EXTRA – Additional height has been added to the rise for a secure, full coverage during movement. You won’t get that feeling of slipping down in the back.  As a panty stretches around the body it naturally shortens in the rise….. Not this design.
                                                   
DETAILS – A small bow at the front adds a feminine touch without taking away from the smooth, sleek style. Note the beautifully stitched edges and lace edged elastic.

6 Underwear Resolutions

New years resolutions!     

Who started them anyway? 

We all think about them. 

We all plan them. 

They are the same ones every year.

We rarely ever fulfill them.

We feel deflated when we fail.

I have an idea… her are some New Years Resolutions you CAN fulfill and just how to do it! Say after me…

  This year I am going to loose one dress size.
Get yourself a great body slimmer. Pull it on and voila, one size smaller.

   This year I am going to walk tall and confidently like I am a woman with something no one else knows about.
Wear thong underwear! If they are new to you, you will be surprised at how secretive you will feel. Even if it is only for special occasions it is worth the experience.

  This year I am going to nurture my feminine side.
As you dress treat yourself to beautiful underwear. No more mismatched sets. No more holes, pilled fabric, bagged out elastic or poor fitting pieces. Throw out the granny stuff no matter what age you are. 

  This year I am going to pamper myself once a month.
Do something you are always too busy to do. Enjoy a cappuccino, read a book, have a pedicure or go to a chick flick. As women we work so hard and so seldom take time for ourselves. We need to energize ourselves once and a while.

This year I am going to see red.

Red Plus Size Bra and Panties - Date Bra

I have just heard the term “date bra” for the first time and I love it. I like the idea of a special occasion bra, you may not wear it everyday but when you do…watch out.

This….date bra…. is a wonderful find for full figured women. A voluptuous RED colored set in plus sizes. Most often curvy gals are restricted to black, white or nude (whatever that is supposed to be)

So kick up your heels and be a little risqué.

Pros and Cons of Boy Shorts

The boy short style of underwear is a relatively new style for women. If you have never tried them you may be pleasantly surprised. This panty style is not really a “boy” style at all.  It is more like the bathing suit bottom style of the 1950’s.


The leg opening is straight across but snug to the body without tight elastic at the opening. A wonderful style with summer dresses and a favourite with jeans.

This style can have a large amount of lace or none at all. These are a natural in micro fiber that is invisible under clothes. 

The boy shorts shown here are both by Tatiana. A European made line with wonderful

lace detail. The Tara boy short is a hip style, low rise,  in apricot and beige lace co-ordinated with stripped lycra. The high cut of the Lana boy short gives extra tummy coverage while still being so feminine and pretty.

Top 5 Reasons to Wear Gorgeous Panties

I am sure you have all heard, “ Don’t leave the house unless you have nice underwear on because you may be hit by a bus and sent to the hospital.” Crazy as that sounds there are times when your underwear will make a surprise appearance. You might want to follow the old advice, just in case....

Plus Size Microfiber Panties

Microfiber is a new age fabric that is being used in many garments but is the perfect fabric for undergarments. There are several reason’s for this with the main being it’s strength yet ultra light weight.

The weight of this fabric is less than 1 denier. The denier is the measure of weight of a fiber. As you can imagine less than one is ultimately thin. This , of course, means that you can wear a bikini or full panty without wearing any bulk. The panties made from microfiber most often eliminate seams and bulky elastic waistbands to give an invisible silhouette under most garments.

This fabric was developed by scientists in the 1950’s. It was not introduced to the general public until the 1990’s. Sweden was the first to embrace this modern fabric as a space age sports fabric. The properties of this fabric work very well for active wear.

• It has a wonderful ability to wick moisture away from the body making it extremely comfortable to wear and keeping the body dry.

Microfibers can be made from polyester, nylon or a combination of both. It lasts a long time, washes easily, doesn’t wrinkle and is very strong. Add that to the moisture wicking property and is it a surprise that this fabric would lend itself to lingerie so remarkably well.
