Purple Corset Discount

SATURDAY STYLE SPOTLIGHT
The Purple corset is back……
december 2010 1485    c-799 back lace
This is the gorgeous corset that I featured this past November. This was the star of my first blog give a way.
I have had many emails about this corset so I have decided to revisit this style.

This is a real corset. It will cinch you in and shape your body. It is however not a traditional corset for a few reasons.

This corset is made in a mixture of flexible fabric and solid fabric. The satin is a stretch panel. The jacquard print is a solid fabric backed in a girdle type fabric. This offers a cinching in with a slight stretch for comfort. A traditional corset has NO stretch at all.

The bones in this corset are spiral steel bones. These look like a miniature slinky that is very long and flattened. They keep the corset sitting straight against the body. These bones are slightly flexible. A traditional corset has solid steel bones that do not bend at all.

A corset of any style can be worn laced at many different sizes. When you first wear a corset you will feel very restricted. Once your body adjusts to the feeling of being held tight, you can cinch the corset smaller.
As you can see from the photo above, the back does not need to close. It is very attractive to see the design of the laces and ties. If you do not want skin showing you can wear a slim fitting camisole or shirt underneath.  Originally the corset was never worn on bare skin but over a this garment called a chemise.
CS-799-CORSET F
I love the straps on this corset. It creates a beautiful line and makes it so comfortable to wear.

This corset is made in purple, white, black and red. If you have admired this corset and want one yourself, use this discount code for $20.00 off.

Introducing the World's First Sexy Coffee

The fantastic high end lingerie firm in London, Rigby & Peller,  have just unveiled the first aphrodisiac coffee to the world. Amore Del Caffe!

De’longhi, the Italian coffee company has teamed up with David Cooper, top coffee connoisseur  to create this innovative coffee. They have blended a rare Indian coffee bean, Indian Monsooned Malabar, with the essence of oyster. These unique beans have been left out during the rains to gain a rich flavour. They are then roasted to a deep mahogany stage and while still warm are infused with oyster essence.

The Italian company hopes to add some Italian passion to the coffee drinkers of the UK. Londoners were treated to samples at the product launch recently but were limited to one small cup each, due to the seductive powers of the coffee.

If you want to try this coffee it is very expensive, £ 39 per 100 grams,  but is available for a limited time from Rigby & Peller with proceeds going to Cancer support.

Oyster coffee? I can’t see this ever replacing champagne on the romance stage but who knows?

How did Valentine's Day Begin?

Valentine’s Day is like many other holidays we have grown up with and love. It is a tradition we all know about but have no idea where it came from or how it started. The stories of it’s beginning vary and the facts have become blurred over the years. Although we know the Valentine’s Day card tradition is attributed to the Victorian era the origin of this tradition dates much further back.

In Roman times there was a Roman Catholic priest named Valentine. He lived during the rule of Claudius II who passed a law stating that no man may marry. Emperor Claudius II felt single men made far superior soldiers and would do anything to build the strongest army.

Father Valentine was a romantic and believed in the power of love and the sanctity of marriage. He began performing marriage ceremonies in secret. Before long he was arrested, thrown in jail and sentenced to death by beheading.

During his incarceration the jail keeper’s daughter visited him often. Just before his execution day, on February 14, he wrote a farewell letter to her and signed it “from Your Valentine” . Rumor of this letter spread and became the symbol of selfless, romantic love. This is thought to now be the first Valentine Card sent. He was put to death on the day that has become our celebration as Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Father Valentine was decreed “Patron Saint of Lovers.”

How strange it is that this lovely, warm and fuzzy, romantic holiday sprang from such a gruesome act. On February 14th, when you crack open the champagne why not give a little toast to Father Valentine. I think we all share his secret passion for true love.

I Love You Wall in Paris

Paris remains the most romantic city in the world. Paris is such a ruler of this genre that it presents many monuments to love with the majority of them being ancient and awe inspiring.

In Montrmatre, the home of the artists, stands a modern display of love. A wonderful project created by Frédéric Baron who has recorded “I Love You” 1000 times written in 300 langauges and dialects. The script is displayed on a wall in a beautiful park setting. This is fast becoming a meeting spot for lovers

“One does not play with love. It is a serious affair.” by Frédéric Baron.

Baron began his project in 1992 by wandering the streets of Paris and asking people to write these words in their mother tongue. Baron feels he has toured the world without ever leaving Paris.

LE MUR DES JE T'AIME is a wall finished in lava enamelled tiles. Each tile holds it’s own message of love. You will see chips of color spread through the face. This is to symbolize fragments of broken hearts. 612 tiles each in the shape and size of Baron’s original note books present the 1000 I Love Yous.

If you visit Paris you will find the wall in Paris, Buttes Montmartre, Place des Abbesses, in the Square Jehan Rictus. Take the Metro to Abbesses. The admission is free and a great spot for photos.

Lose inches for Valentine’s Day - Instantly

Are you expecting a wonderfully romantic dinner with your special guy? Roses, chocolates, diamonds? Okay, lets be realistic we will love whatever romantic gesture is offered, big or small. Lets talk about what we can control for Valentine’s day - our bodies. You want to look your very best for whatever surprises await you.

Like the Hollywood stars walking the red carpet you should not step out without a body shaper under it all. All the stars wear shapers, no matter how small they are, to smooth out the body. If you have a lump or bump here and there body shapers will smooth those out and tighten everything in. You can actually look one size smaller.

There are many styles available to target specific body issues. Tummy control is the most common request and secondly thigh control. When purchasing the body shaper keep in mind the neckline style of the outfit and match the slimmer to it.

For the ultimate, old fashioned, slimming a corset is the item to wear. They do a fantastic job of trimming the body and look spectacular on every woman’s body type. Choose your outfit then your undergarments and wow him on Valentine’s Day.
