Sometimes pieces of a sharp object may be broken off, and X-rays may be needed to locate them. in cases of infection, antibiotics be required. ensure that the person has had a tetanus injections within the last ten years.

Wash out the wound using small pieces of sterile gauze or clean cotton material and a freshly made solution of Calendula or Hypercal. This is made by adding 5ml of tincture of either of the above to 200ml of cool, previously boiled water.

Wash the wound with warm, soapy water. if dirt is present, lightly scrub out the wound with a soft nail brush. Rinse under the cold tap.

Application to Wound 

Wash the Cut with the freshly prepared calendula or Hypercal solution. This is made by adding 5ml of the tincture of Celendula or Hypercal to 200ml of cool, previously boiled, water.

wash the whole area in warm, soapy water, gently scrubbing grit and dirt out with a soft brush. Rinse under the cold water tap. 
Apply a dressing soaked in clendula lotion. This is made by adding 5ml (twenty drops) of tincture to 200ml half a pint) of cool, previously boiled water. 
APPLICATION TO THE WOUND 
Keep the dressing moist with the same solution (
