A Weekend in GATLINBURG/Tennessee

A few weeks ago, I was hangin' out and sippin' a little peach iced tea on my Stealthy Georgia Chaperon's big ol' comfy front-porch swing, when she said to me, "Olga, my friend Shanin is takin' a little trip up to Tennessee and she needs a travelin' partner...are ya'll interested?" Well, THAT perked right me up! After all, Traveling IS my middle name! So, I yanked up my straps, hopped in my Traveling Lingerie Bag, and away we went!...to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! (I apologize for not getting these pictures posted sooner...
but as you can tell, I've been a very busy Bra!)

First Stop -
This famous landmark - a Gatlinburg ATM machine...

...so we could go
SHOPPING!!!

As you can see, we made quite a haul!
And afterwards, I had a BALL hangin' out on the couch,
talkin' shop with my new bosom buddies
Minnie (in white) and Pearl (in pink.)

Then we hot-footed it down to the Gatlinburg fire station...
...but hey...where's the fire?!?
Ooops!...false alarm!
It's just ME causin' everyone's temperature to RISE (again!)

Speakin' of HOT...
I even hooked up with Miss Tennessee's country cousin...
Ms. Pumpkin Head, 2007!

Yes, Gatlinburg was quite lovely, but my favorite part was...
back-packing in the Great Smoky Mountains with Shanin!

'Tis truly God's Country.
Amen.
Thanks Shanin!

My Post-Thanksgiving Post: An Afternoon at Canyon Oaks in CHICO, California

Touchdown!! Ahhh...after stuffing myself with turkey and pie yesterday, nothing could beat kickin' back on Grandpa's couch and watchin' a little football on the ol' boob tube today...
except...
Going outside and taking a nice little hike!
Olga, the Traveling Bra is right on par at Canyon Oaks Country Club Here I am hanging out and enjoying a bee-yoo-ti-ful Fall afternoon at the exclusive Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, California.

Wish I'd brought my Big Bertha with me! Notice the sign doesn't specifically say "No Traveling Bras Allowed" - still, I thought it was best to stay off the course, especially since I wasn't exactly in compliance with the Dress Code.

EEeeww - we're touching our mom's BRA! Back at Grandpa's - for some reason, my "Ex's" teenage kids weren't too excited about having their picture taken with their mother's big ol' bodacious Traveling Bra!
(Go figure!)

Shut up and smile! However, their older and more experienced brother understands the importance of keeping a mom happy, and threatened bribed persuaded his siblings to just shut up smile and let mom take the dang picture!

Ta-Ta! Ta-Ta (for now!) California ~ I'm Aruba bound!

Turkey ala Olga

I received this provocative new recipe in the mail from an old friend the other day...I think it'll perk up our Thanksgiving table quite nicely, don't you?
Here is a new way to prepare your
Thanksgiving Turkey.
Your dinner will be the talk of the TOWN!!
Sure to bring smiles from your guests!
You should try this!
1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully.
(See picture below for details.)
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces as you present The Bird...
Turkey ala Olga
PS: Please email me your photos if you do this! Thanks!

TA-TA (for now) Georgia!

(Click to hear what's on my mind....)

I think ya'll will agree that my Stealthy Georgia Chaperon really
went out on a limb for me these past couple of months...She had me rockin' in Alabama, rollin' in Vegas, chillin' in Florida, shakin' things up all OVER Atlanta, and serenaded on my birthday by Mark Wills in his living room!
Now that's what I call Gen-u-ine Southern Hospitality!
But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end...
and so, the time has come for me to make like a tree and leave!
(Do you see me? Click me!...I got something to say)
Yoo-hoo...here I am! I hope I don't FALL and BUST something!
"Other arms reach out to me...Other eyes smile tenderly....
Still in peaceful dreams I see...The road leads back to you...
Georgia, oooh Georgia...no peace I find...
Just an old sweet song...Keeps Georgia on my mind!"

Thanks Stealth - you're AWESOME!

(PS: Have you checked out my Advice Column - "Dear Olga" ?
Fracas
is sure glad she did!)

Feelin' Frigorific in DESTIN, Florida

My trip to the Gulf Coast was short but sweet.
We didn't hang out at the beach very long on account of my
Poor Georgia Chaperon's horrible cold.

Plus, 62 degrees is just a wee bit nippy for this California gal!
But hey, that's OK...there's still plenty of uncharted territory 'round here for me to explore...some other time...
when it's warmer!

Girls Night Out in ATLANTA, Georgia

My Stealthy Georgia Chaperon and her awesome girlfriends took me out and showed me all around Atlanta last Saturday night -
It was a night to remember!

First stop - The Governor's
Mansion!
Christine sweet-talked a security guard into letting us on the lawn of
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue's mansion to snap this photo...Olga, the Traveling Bra at the Georgia Governors Mansion
...then she gave him my business card (in her left hand)
with her phone number on the back! Go figure!?

Next stop -
I fully support Institutions of Higher Education -
and the higher, the better!
(Ain't that right, Crusty?!)

Olga, the Traveling Bra keeps Abreast of all the news
Here I am keeping abreast of world events
at The CNN Center in Atlanta.

And look who we found hanging out on a street corner!
Poor R2D2!
R2D2 meets OlgaTTB-36DD
Once a shining star and Defender of the Universe...
...and now, working for the U.S. Postal Service?!?

Well, by now we were getting pretty hungry, so my Chaperons took me to one of the finest dining establishments in all of Hot-Lanta...
The World's Largest Drive-in Restaurant -
serving hungry customers with a smile since 1928.Olga, the Traveling Bra - supersize me!
"You want fries with that?!"

Now, it's no secret that my Sweet Georgia Chaperons are
fanatical obsessive devoted Coca-Cola drinkers.
In fact, they are so determined to rid the South of that
"nasty Yankee beverage, Pepsi"....
Olga, the Traveling Bra meets the BIG CHICKEN
....that Deanna actually offered ME up as a sacrifice to
THE BIG CHICKEN
in hopes of getting KFC to switch from serving Pepsi to Coke!

Then they took me to the WORLD of COCA COLA... Olga, the Traveling Bra at the World of Coca Cola
...and forced me to stare into it's giant hypnotic eye at until I agreed to switch from Pepsi to Coke! Don't get me wrong, I love 'em to death, but sometimes I just do not understand these Southerners.

And then...
Shanin literally busted her butt
to get this shot with me in front of The Fox Theatre
(where Gone With the Wind had it's world premiere) Olga, the Traveling Bra outside the Fox TheatreHere, she'd just fallen out of the Jeep and onto the street! Ouch! Frankly, the rest of the gals didn't seem to give a damn, but my Stealthy Chivalrous Chaperon swooped in and picked the poor girl up and put her back in the Jeep...but what else would you expect from Clark Gable's cousin!

Finally, the girls treated me to the possibly the only thing better on God's green earth than Pepsi, or Coca Cola, or even
DARK chocolate...
Olga, the Traveling Bra goes to Doughnut HeavenOh yeah...in my not-so-humble opinion, this is the South's biggest and best gastronomical contribution to the world!
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
! Mmmmmm...
Krispy Kreme and Olga, the Traveling Bra Thanks for the GREAT night out, girls!!
